The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is set to premiere this coming Monday, September 5.
In light of the recent tragic suicide of Russell Armstrong, the husband of Taylor (Beverly Hills housewife) the Housewives franchise and reality TV has come under a lot of scrutiny. There are claims that reality TV may have contributed to this man taking his own life before the series aired because he was terrified of what would be shown on national TV.
You all know I love reality TV. The Beverly Hills housewives are by far my fave to watch too. But with the recent gruesome death of a husband of one of the ladies on the show, it has taken the "fun" out of watching.
I more than likely will tune in on Monday.

Russell's death is so sad, I am have no doubt te show might be what pushed him over the edge. But is sounded like he had issues before the show even began. But yes I will def be watching the girls are my favorite cast. I love me some Kyle and Lisa!

ReplyDeleteRussell's death was very sad, and I feel for his family, friends, etc. But that will not influence my decision to watch. BH turned out to be one of my fav's last season and I was really excited when I found out there would be another season! I've been such a major HW's fan since the very first episode of OC ;)
ReplyDeleteI was shocked and sad to hear of Russell's death. I feel sorry for all of his family and Taylor. I knew this season would crucify him and I think they should edit any negative out of the upcoming show in just respect to him and his family. I'm sure he was a good person and it's sad he turned to suicide. This will not stop me from watching the show, Beverly Hills is my favorite cast.
ReplyDeleteI had been so excited about this season! I loved RHWOBH last year. I'm certainly still going to watch {I can't get enough of this series} but seeing the segments about Taylor and Russel are going to be pretty tough to watch.

They are my favorite cast! I feel so bad for his daughter.....and Taylor, but I will still be tuning in. If nothing else it now brings awareness that this IS in fact reality and maybe ease up on ripping reality stars apart in the press!
