Happy Valentine's Day!

I am just going to come right out and say it.

I LOVE Valentine's Day. Anything that has to do with love, and pink and red, and chocolates, and flowers is definitely my kind of thing.

I know people think it is just a silly "Hallmark" holiday. And I get that.

But I just really like the idea of having a special day set aside to show the ones you love and adore just how much they mean to you. But it doesn't just have to mean that. I also think that it"s nice to be extra kind to strangers on this day as well. Because everyone needs some love and kindness especially in this day and age.

We don't have anything extravagant planned tonight. Hubs asked me what I wanted and I told him I just wanted to stay in and order pizza. Seriously. And I got a nice bottle of champagne.

I got little man a book "God Gave Me You", and I will inscribe in it and date it for him. Just like my daddy did for me when I was growing up. Every Valentine's Day he gave me a new book. I loved it. So much better than candy because you get to keep it forever. I wanted to carry on that tradition for my little guy. I cant wait to give it to him.

So, that's it for us for the special holiday. Me, my boys, at home, being together. I couldn't be happier.
